Ayodhya's Ram Mandir receives bomb threat, security beefed up amid investigation

Uttar pradesh: The Ram Mandir Trust has received a bomb threat mail on Tuesday, after which the police and security agencies started investigating. There was a stir in the temple premises after receiving a bomb threat to blow up the Ram temple. The cyber cell said it was investigating the matter. The temple trust said that they received a threatening mail via mail on Monday night. Following the threatening mail, a search operation was launched and an FIR was registered at the Ayodhya Cyber Police Station. "Increase the security of the temple," the email said.

Apart from the Ram Mandir Trust, the District Magistrates of Barabanki and Chandauli have also received bomb threat emails. In Ayodhya, security personnel carried out a massive search operation, searching the area for any suspicious activity or threat. Preliminary investigations revealed that the emails were sent from Tamil Nadu after which the cyber cell has stepped up efforts to trace the source and identify the threat mongers.
